KIng mattress?

What do you have? Do you love it or hate it? Where did you find it? We would prefer a 72 x 77 size. Thanks!
  • What sort of RV do you have that you can get a king size mattress to fit in it and still leave room to make the bed?

Queen size mattress's work pretty good tho.
  • We will be getting a 72 x 80 which is considerd a rv king. Have one on watch on e bay that gets great reviews. Its a cooling memory foam 10" for $400.00. Pm me if you want the link.
  • My tt has a king, and im sure they didnt build the camper around the mattress.
  • I replaced my OEM mattress which was terrible with a Sleep Number RV Radius King. Since I full time the cost wasn't an issue for me and the lighter weight than a good traditional mattress was a big plus. And since the Sleep Number mattress is assembled on site, moving a large king mattress into a tight RV bedroom is a breeze. It goes in in small pieces. No problem at all. Assembly took about 30 minutes and could be done in less time if I had to do it again.
  • We replaced our eastern king mattress with a residential high quality mattress that we purchased at Mattress Discounters. They delivered and set it up in the 5th wheel. DH said it was a bit of a struggle getting it in but they did it and hauled the old one away for us.
If that won't work for you, try a foam mattress that comes compressed and rolled up...easy to get into the RV then just take off the plastic and watch it expand. We have one in our house and it's incredibly comfortable and has held up well.
  • We have the king size Serta Trump mattress topped with a 4" memory foam that is very comfortable.
  • Sleep number is the way to go, light weight, comes in pieces and is adjustable for personal comfort, sure beats moving a normal king size mattress around.
  • Our coach came with a king Sleep Number bed. What a piece of JUNK! Sleep Number replaced the motor and wands once under warranty. After the warranty expired at 3 yrs., the right side started losing air and would go completely flat, the left side stayed full.

The sleep number wands stopped working soon after the replacements came. The pump part worked, you just couldn't see the numbers.

Anyway, near St. Louis, we had enough. We went to a mattress store and bought an eastern full size king Beauty Rest pillow-top mattress. The piece of JUNK sleep number went into the dumpster.

It was a bit difficult getting the mattress in but it made and we love it. I will never have another 'automatic' mattress again.

Other have had good luck, we didn't.

    MM.
  • We ordered our Dutch Star with the king-size bed and the optional pillow top mattress. That was 11 years ago, and we still love it, and it still looks like new. Newmar installed it, but I don't even know the brand.
