Kudos to Baumann Ford in Genoa, Ohio

On the 16th, we were heading to Washington DC for a vacation. My truck started having some issues with losing power, wouldn't go into upper gears, stalling,4000 RPMs to go 60 mph, etc. I got off the turnpike in Fremont and limped it to Advantage Ford about 20 minutes before they opened. Once they opened, I explained my family was heading on vacation---hence the fifth wheel on the back---and that I was having trouble. They told me they only had 3 techs on duty and they were too busy. They told me to try Baumann Ford which used to be Genoa Ford.

I called Chris at Baumann Ford (service guy) and told him my predicament. He said they were very busy but to bring it in. I got there, spoke to him and they had me drop my trailer in their lot. They got Tim, to take my truck for a ride and then start working on it. In about an hour, they came out and told me that a rodent had made a home in my air filter and that there were no codes received from the computer. They replaced the filter and other than the 1 hr fee and a new filter , I was back on road...about a 2.5 hour total delay.

The kicker was that 2 weeks before this, I had my Ford dealer clean out my heater/AC fan due to ground squirrels getting in over the winter. I had them also do an oil change, etc. You think they would have checked the air filter. I will be dealing with them soon on that. Here is the photo of my air filter. Even the mechanic took photos of it.

SO hats off to Baumann Ford. I thought I should let others know. I will be writing their manager/owner know how they helped me.
