Last Chance -- Halloween supplies - act fast

I've been hitting some of the local grocery stores stocking up on the Halloween rope lights. There's two colors, orange and purple. These colors are hard to find throughout the year and right now, after Halloween, are marked down to a fraction of their original pre-Halloween price. I'm stocking up on purple, makes GREAT outside mood lighting when camping. If you're wanting the "not so common" color ... you know, red, white, blue, green ... better get to the stores now. They're beginning to put the Halloween stuff away or selling dirt cheap to move it out for Christmas now!

Rope lights make great mood lighting. Haven't put any lights out when camping for a few years now, but, just string these out on the ground and, presto! I might end up using them more at home than camping... anyway, get'em while you still can!
  • Keep in mind that the Emergency Room Doctors are required to report to Child Protective Services.
  • Let me know how it goes if you get to do it. You guys seem to lose power often.. My Brother in law lives over by Clarkston and they lose it often too.

Hey Kennedy...the next time we have a good storm, go throw the circuit breaker for the house and tell him the power is out...Do it right before he goes to bed. Then when he is sound asleep, set up your stuff and then wke him up in the middle of the night and scare the wits out of him by calling him. When he gets out of bed and goes toward your room or wherever, jump out and growl at him or something. That should teach him. I did that to my kids and it only took a few sessions at the shrink before he was talking again.
OK, only teasing about the last part.

Omg! That is a great idea!! Up here in our lil area of NW Oakland Co, power outages are the norm.....I could pull that off without raising a eyebrow.
I have to figure out how to keep all the red lights for the eyeballs lit up and the sounds turned off, that's gonna be the hardest part, I think, in pulling this off.

  • Darn, cleaned out my garage a threw out all Holloween stuff. Should have sold it.
  • I'm heading to the Halloween stores to stock up but for a different reason entirely. My 13 YO son LOVES to hide around corners or sneak up on me and scare the living daylights out of me (told him if I die, its on him lol). I gave him far warning that if he didn't stop, I was going to "pay him back, don't know when, don't know how". I have decided to buy as many scary things as I can at the Halloween stores, set it all up in his room while he's sleeping (he sleeps like a log) and when I wake him up for school BAM!! HAHAHA MAMA GOT YA. I know it sounds kinda mean but......We'll see if he keeps scaring me.
  • Bought Halloween paper towels for 25 cents a roll one year. A paper towel is a paper towel.
