This government is FAR from being crazy over this. I'll bet the OWNER of the laundrymat decided he liked his family ALIVE and WELL. See....he's the guy that cleans and maintains the place he owns.
If the hypothetical owner is so concerned, then there's absolutely no need for the government to tell him or her to shut the place down; they can just use their authority as the owner to decide to not open the laundromat, or maybe hire someone else to do the cleaning. I suspect, though, that for every owner who's relieved to not be open, there's another owner of another laundry who would really prefer to have the income to pay for the lease, property and business taxes, health insurance, food, and so forth.
