Laundry room ethics

At an RV park, please be courteous and give a person 5 minutes after the machine quits before removing their clothes.

At a public laundromat, all bets are off if it is a small one that is busy; in which case I never leave my laundry unattended.

Also, please apply some common sense. If ALL the driers are full and running, and a washer just stopped, leave the persons laundry alone till one of the driers stops; especially if you intend to use a drier yourself.

Think about it, the person will find all driers full, and your own laundry in the washer...

Sooo since I rarely dry clothing in a machine I have my "approved out"?:D.

I simplify my life at most laundromats, public or private, by being one of the first people to enter the place when the doors open. Not only does it clear up my day for less mundane tasks I can bypass this whole crazy laundry ethics stuff. In fact, my building laundry room just opened at 8:00 AM and my 2 machines are already in motion; I'll be finished with the whole nonsense before 10:00 AM. Would've finished early but some L.I. single house raised person in my life fervently believes that machine dried clothing is a birthright. Fine by me as long as it's not my clothing getting baked;).


I will say that IF I was in a situation where I left my clothes in the room longer than needed I'd mentally kick self in butt for finding them in a basket or the countertop and not assume that it was anyone else's piss poor planning beyond my own.
