Leaf spring broke, HELP!!!

Could also be Lippert axles. Doesn't matter as they both use the same size springs. Go with higher rated springs as it is highly unlikely that your springs are loaded equally, side to side.

Large agricultural equipment stores often have springs in stock.

Another option would be a local spring shop.

You might want to go to the Dexter website and download the service manual for light duty axles (http://www.dexteraxle.com/). Print it and keep it with your other manuals. There is a lot of good information in the manual that can give you some piece of mind and help you to maintain your axles, brakes, and hubs.

Most replacement springs (I've ever seen) come as a set of two or three leaves already assembled with poly bushings in the ends. When you replace that spring, remember that the spring shackle bolts do not turn, they are spline-fit into the shackle. So only turn the nut (but hold the bolt head with a wrench, anyway). If you reuse the nut, use a locking fluid to secure it (new nut would be preferred as many are interference-fit and they aren't as secure the second usage). If you do go with a higher load-rated spring, remember the axle and bearings and brakes are still sized for a lighter load, so don't exceed the GVWR for the trailer. How many lugs do your wheels have, 6 or 8? A 6 lug maxes out on a 6K axle, 8 lug is generally on a 7K axle. Whats the listed GVWR on your RV? A 4 leaf sounds kinda small for the weight your listing. A 5 leaf spring usually starts in the 2900# range. Broke one on my toy hauler a couple yrs ago and replaced all 4 springs with the next heavier weight rating. Went from 4 leaf to 5 leaf. Had to replace the broken one along side of the road, bought replacement at a tractor supply type store. Make sure you replace all u-bolts when replacing springs.

Yes, get the higher rated springs. Manufacturers usually put barely adequate axles on. You would need to replace all of them at the same time but you really need to do that anyway because the others are most likely going to fail soon as well.

Got mine here: I went next rating higher than axle and it rides great.

I have the manual that came with trailer.
It states that it has the Dexter Rear Axle #6822097, Front Axle #682096.
Could not find those numbers on ebay, where else should I look for the correct weight rated springs?

There should be a metal tag wrapped around your axle or a metal plate tack welded on tells the axle size such as or 6000 or 7000.
