They were thinking that people enjoy as natural a spot as possible with shade for added comfort in the summertime. I have camped under hundreds of oak trees and never had a sap issue, now acorns for a while in the fall will get your attention and hickory nuts will make you jump! As I typing I am looking at a huge 3 ft. diameter oak tree in a Florida hammock right outside my door, love it.
