I would offer my assistance, if the kids needed it. Let the mother know without being jugmental the kids could come to my place any time.
The mother is probably already scared to death. I think she should have cleued the nearest neighbors in on her sitation.
How did some learn that the kids cannot leave the trailer while the mother is gone? There has been conversation on this before.
Just keep a close watch and don't rock the boat.
