That low heat thing is huge when you consider certain light such as those mini floods by the bed
( reading lamps). Those get really HOT, also the lights in the bunk beds that the kids head's are near. Curious little hands can always get burned.
On another note: I read an article about a man that replaced all of his incandescent bulbs in his home with led bulbs at a cost of about $1000. ,
His payback was about 4 years, which I think is pretty good for an energy payback, then, he saves about $250. Annually, plus he won't have to change bulbs for what, 10 years?
Just think when these items start going down in costs and remember that electric costs keep rising
