I take issue with this statement. The critical mass of the Technology Age was created and developed by young people, and is being used in almost every aspect of our every day lives.
I don't believe kids are missing out, nor are they less creative, it's just that their options and interests are in areas that many of us didn't grow up experiencing.
One also has to admit that a major segment of our population hasn't made the "outside" world a safe, nor inviting place to explore. In fact, it's just the opposite, unless one wants to be mugged, abducted, raped, murdered, etc.
