Last year our grandchildren found a creature none of the family had ever seen. We were in northern Ontario and the kids were swimming in the lake. They brought out these tiny snakes, almost translucent and the size of a piece of cooked spaghetti. Has anyone seen them? Somebody named them hair snakes ?
Did they look something like this, Loulou?
If so, it's a parasitic worm (Gordius aquaticus), though NOT of the kind that infects/uses people. Usually. I think.
