When I get an email like that, I find it very easy to stop them in their tracks!
I simply tell them that the vehicle is to be sold As Is, Where Is, for CASH ONLY, and Montana State Law requires that I have THEIR name, address, and Driver License number to fill in the blanks on the title. If those blanks are not filled in, the Notary Public will not and legally can not Notarize my signature to transfer the title to the new owner.
For some strange reason, none of those folks have ever responded to me.
By the way, that is the absolute truth. When selling anything that has a Title issued by the MT DMV, the buyer's name, address, and Driver License number MUST be filled in before the Notary will stamp the title!
