I found this to be a cross between super glue and caulk. The drip rail came loose on our counter top, so I asked the local ACE hardware guy to advise what to use, great product, it clear, doesn't yell...
I've never used the product, but I would hazard a guess that it is similar to "goop", "shoe goo", etc or other adhesives where it can be applied & the pieces clamped if they need to be held in place until the adhesive sets a bit, or it can be applied to surfaces such as where a wall meets a counter top.
Therefore, no, it is not a contact type adhesive.
