Having had a Class A CDL for many years with Bus and motorcycle endorsements. I do believe that a drivers license should indicate your competence to drive vehicles.
I believe towing any trailer, driving any oversize vehicle (truck or limo), or any of several distinct classes of vehicles should have a separate endorsement, including tractors and bicycles if they are on the public roads.
