In this country, you require an endorsement to drive a vehicle with air brakes. Period.
All the U-hauls I have ever driven have hydrolic brakes.

Not sure what country you are refering to. Here in Good ol' Pennsylvania, US of A we can rent 26' box trucks from Penske or Aim that are registered at 26,000 with airbrakes no CDL.
