And BTW, Around here we don't tell other forum members what they can or cannot post for answers. :W
Sure we do...The thought police almost outweigh (pun intended) the weight police.
No survey. Just wondered how many would welcome/endorse in the name of safety. I noticed North Carolina was cracking down on car haulers claiming to be NOT FOR HIRE in order to skirt the commercial complication. I hear rumors that several states have licensing requirement. Some of my DOT buddies (ok, ok, we have a love/hate relationship) have been know to question why the requirements are not there. Oh yes.....many in the trucking community are livid that the requirements are not there.Me thinks it would only take one major accident(high profile) to have the nanny state political activist breathing down the TSA, DOT's neck to DEMAND changes.
Personally not an issue. Class A/M , Fleet manager. No dog in the fight.
There are so many RV crashes out there on a daily basis. If DOT was going to do something it would have already been done.
Personally they NEED to do something with the semi's instead of turning a blind eye to them. Every single major pileup reported on the news is due to a semi that does NOT slow down in bad weather etc.
I full time and watch those idiots speeding down the interstates during storms, fog, etc. They do NOT slow down.
Me, I don't want the gov telling me I have to do one more dang thing.
They got their toe in the door and it's already a snowball out of hell trying to bulldoze us over. Disclaimer: this is not a political post! Just saying. :B
