Maybe I'm biased because I'm a former truck driver and I keep my class A CDL current. It's always bothered me that there's no law to stop a 16 year old kid from getting into his dad's class 8 toter home with 40' toy hauler and heading across the country.
I also believe that any driver, CDL or not, should have to take a road test every year after a certain age, maybe 75 or so.
Yes, I agree that licensing "big" rig drivers would be appropriate for us and others on the road with us.
