Can you please point out my error?
An F250 has a payload in excess of 1 ton and a GVWR of 9,900 pounds. It only requires a yellow certification sticker if it loaded to more than 9,900 pounds or is towing a non-exempt trailer. It is what I was referring to.
A 2010 F350 has a GVWR of 11,800 pounds and requires a yellow certification sticker anytime it's on the road in Ontario.
All I am clarifing is your statement in the previous post.
". Up here in Ontario for instance ANY truck, trailer or combination of the two with a GVWR in excess of 9,900 pounds (4,500 KG) must be safety inspected annually and certified safe, period"
This sentence may lead people to think that both truck and trailer needs the sticker no exceptions allowed.
I was just pointing out that if the trailer in your over 9900lb example is a recreational trailer only the truck requires the sticker in your example.
While my truck needs the sticker, my personal recreational fifthwheel trailer does not need it.
