Lifan Generator?

My Dad currently uses a single 2000w Honda generator. He only uses it for one, maybe two trips a year since he always wants an electric site.

My brother bought his own TT and is looking for his own genny. He's in the same boat, onl looking to use it for one or two trips a year. He was interested in the 2,000w Honda but is also pondering the larger 3,000w so he can run the AC.

A friend of mine just bought a 3,600 w lifan generator. It's about $100-$200 more then the 2,000w Honda. Anyone have experience with it?

Here's the link.

A lot of folks are happy with the Champion line of gennys. Very popular on this forum and they seem to have good support too.
  • Lifan parts are available.

I own a Lifan XR200 Honda knock-off dual sport mc.

    no prob.
  • Lifan is a Chinese Co. These seem to fill the bill for the near term, but when they break down, there is no place to get it serviced, nor are parts readily available. I have a friend with the 3K Honda - that thing is really heavy. When your young it isn't a factor, but we all be gettin up there, ha! Me personally, I would invest in a couple of Honda 2000i's: the 2000i and the Companion are an ideal set up, and the Honda name says it all. Safe travels.
