"hole in the rock road" just outside Escalante, UT - About 30 seconds before I drove over a small bridge that spans a rather deep (20') culvert, lightening stuck a pinion pine that was at the bottom of the culvert !! - THAT would be a place that I would have headed for to feel 'safe' in a lightening storm..... no guesses anymore as to what lightening will do - totally unpredictable.
