I am very mechanical, but for most items, I turn it over to the pros. The reason is simple, the only thing you cannot get more of is time. Something that would take a proper repair person an hour to do, will likely take me two or three times as long. I probably won't have the exact proper tool, so I either will have to improvise or buy one. I haven't done it a million times, so the repair isn't automatic. I work very hard to earn money that I then use to make everything else easier and more enjoyable. I am totally fine with paying for repairs and maintenance.
