That's what I was looking for. Gave me the information that I needed to probably make the right decision. What I have gathered is:
Forget about buying new for the warranty. May be worth it if an engine or transmission blows. But the amount of time and the hassle one has to put up with is not worth it.
Preference now for buying a used Class C that's in the best condition possible and with lower mileage. We prefer the smaller Class C's under 25 feet as it's just my wife and myself and we get along well after 43 years.
Although some folks seem to be against extended service agreements I have had good luck with Good Sam's service agreement for my SUV. They have never disappointed me and I would imagine it would be the same with any motor home I purchased. Just have to make sure that the MH is not older than 12 years as that is their cutoff time frame for coverage.
I would also get the roadside assistance agreement from Good Sam although I believe I already have it as I'm already a Good Sam Member.
And, it's truly encouraging to hear good things about Mobile Repair outfits. I would definitely consider if and when I do buy a MH just need to do my due diligence on the most honest and capable company.
I wish to thank everyone for giving me very useful information to utilize in making a decision whether to purchase a MH and, if so, how to go about it.
