We arrive at camp site and spray the water spout with bleach solution, do a site survey as far as where we want everything, best leveling spot, check for slide out room, and height obstructions, and then back into the site. Prior to hooking up water, we let it run for 15 seconds. This process seems to work well for us. Happy camping.
