I'll be over the Atlantic during hours of darkness, FL350 or so, above most weather. I hope I have a window seat, but odds on that for coach in this aircraft are 2/9.
For meteor showers I usually go out to one of the COE parks where I have a view over the reservoir, stretch out on a camp cot and just watch the sky.
This isn't too bad for viewing midweek, but on the weekend everybody strings out lights to make the campground as bright as Times Square. I don't understand the thing about going camping and trying to make nature look like the city.
