I've slowly gone to capturing more video than photos for that reason. It's become so easy to clip a Go Pro to something and forget about it while it records. It doesn't always capture the best angles, but it requires no input. When I want to record something specific I can unclip the camera and aim it. When we get home I can speed through the footage and find what we like. I can then put it together and include photos in the edited video if we want.

Similar to RVcircus, we capture pictures and put them into a slide show mixed with music and put them on a DVD. When we leave for a trip, we bring a couple DVD from earlier trips. It is amazing how much we forget over time. It is really fun watching them.
