The Buddy Heater that is rated at 4000 btu/9000 btu will run about 5 hours on low setting on a one pound tank.
We use one of those as our primary heat source and have it plumbed to our 50 gallon coach tank. Been doing it for 8 years. We use non-serviced sites most of the time and the furnaces are battery killers. In cold weather it runs 24/7.
