I'm looking at two trucks and I'm having a hard time deciding. One is a modestly equipped '16 Ram 2500 CTD Tradesman and the other is a loaded '16 F-150 XLT 3.5L EcoBoost. I assume they will both tow a decent sized travel trailer, but I'm not sure what decent sized is. which one will do better? I will be looking for something between 25' and 30', and will be towing both short and long distances. My vehicle is also my mobile office and I drive about 30k miles a year. I've driven both on short test drives and they seem to ride okay, I didn't note a whole lot of difference. Which one will do better from a longevity standpoint, and which one will have better resale in 3-4 years with high miles?

If most of the time it will be your mobile office with an occasional tow you just might like the 150. More features and nicer to get around in. My boss's son traded his CTD 2500 for a F150 as he used it for a mobile office also. He also pulls a 30+ ft travel trailer and he claims the eco-boost does just as well at the angst of his diesel buddies. The boss traded his CTD 2500 in also for an eco-boost after using his son's for a couple weeks.
A local oil man who goes around maintaining the local oil wells and tank batteries also traded his CTD 2500 in for a F150. Claimed he couldn't afford the upkeep. I've never driven a CTD, altho had a 5.9 in the farm tractor, and will never own one after the tractor experience and listening to the boss and his son.
I know, I know, on RV.net the CTD is the only vehicle worth over $10.
