Now that the Canadian border is opening up just remember the Canadian Gov’t has higher insurance coverage requirements. Make sure your US Insurance company will give you a “Canada Non-Resident Inter-Province Motor Vehicle Liability Insurance Card”. It says that you US carrier will cover the increased limits, and is good for one year. Should be little or no charge, anyway Markel just dropped mine in the mail.
My RV is a motorcycle pulling a camping trailer. The deer didn’t see me in time so he just TRIED to jump over me. No I didn’t go down.
According to RCMP ‘We have so many deer accidents up here (Alberta; Trans-Canada 3) we don’t even make out a report unless there’s human injury.

GWRRA - p220sigmanExplorerWe've had Progressive via USAA for 10 years or so. We haven't had any claims so I can't speak to how well the claim process would go, but our rates have remained the mostly the same with very small increases and decreases. It actually went down about $10 this past renewal.
- Sandia_ManExplorer IIHave had USAA for over 30 years covering our homes, all cars, trucks, vans, and towable (TTs & 5ers) RVs. Our current RV is a Class A and when we called USAA for coverage they transferred us to Progressive. Thus far Progressive has responded very well to service requests and prices are very competitive too boot. Heard they jack prices up after a few years, just received our insurance bill for our second year of coverage and it up a about 70$, we did add towing for $5 more monthly.

True story! American Family smoked Farmers in overall cost. They have been great to deal with overall. - valhalla360Navigator

I would agree with the recommendation to stick with the same company you use for home and auto. Coordinate the coverage. If you are not happy with the costs, coverage or service then start over with all your policies.

If you aren't happy with your home/auto insurance, you probably need to change them all.

- NamMedevac_70Explorer IIIf you are former military then USAA of San Antonio provides insurance service for autos, trucks and RVs at very competitive prices. I have been insured with them since 1970 for trucks and travel trailer with no problems and their telephone help line is great with good english speaking reps you can understand. Always been fast polite service.
