I'm forced into the "only game in town" campground from November until March. Cost is $920.00 per month and they have the nerve to charge for showers on top of that.
I live on the streets and out in the country as much as I can. Everyone's situation is different.
I drive about 1000 miles per month on the average. That is higher than most RV'ers. On my previous RV operating costs including fuel averaged $0.37 cents per mile. My new one so far has been much lower than that number.
My ideal is to boondock 100%, but that is simply not possible for me given the extreme weather (It gets to -40).
My suggestion for a budget is to work it out, then double it. That way you won't have nasty surprizes.
