The best dashcam on the market is the Zetronix Blackbox unit -- without a doubt.
I have it in my Roadtrek CS. It's great for:
+ Security - I leave it on when I am away from my coach. It even has a G-force sensor you can set to save any recording like if someone bumps your coach, etc...
+ Defense - It records front AND blind spots if I am in an incident and the other guy argues. You can tell the police to remind the other driver, "It's a felony to lie to me. The other guy has video. So, tell me what happened again..."
+ Refute - If you get a ticket in error there's no better evidence to take to court. I leave the sound on to record any possible interaction with the friendly police...
Be sure of yourself if trying to use it for defense. Recently, on one of these forums someone posted a video from his camera complaining of other drivers. He, himself, was cut down by others for things that he, himself, was doing wrong on the interstate. Plus, the footage was giving his speed... :) Just a thought...... - et2Explorerhttp://www.ojocam.com
We have one in my wife's car and the same in the motor home. Been working fine for two years. Continuous recording goes over old files unless you mark them. Extra capacity card available for longer recording. Many great features and very good pictures.
So small it can't be seen behind the rear view mirror in the car. - drh20sExplorerThe best dashcam on the market is the Zetronix Blackbox unit -- without a doubt.

It loops the recording and you can just hit a button when something happens that you don't want erased. Best of all, it records the blind spots.
AND, it plots the whole thing on Google maps, showing your speed, location (both by latitude/longitude AND on an actual map!), your speed, direction, etc.
PLUS, I use its video out to send a signal to the TV in the back of the coach so guest can watch it all!
Hands down, it's the coolest unit, and at a fair price. Check it out even on Amazon and look at the reviews (and save 25%). Or, visit http://www.zetronix.com/720p-Wide-Angle-Dual-Car-Camera-with-GPS-&-Night-Vision-Dash-Cam(201)/product_info.html
I even put one in my Prius to protect me from the 'Barney Fifes' in the hick-county next door... - lawnspecialtiesExplorer

Perfect. Thank you.
My "GS1000 - 1080P Car Dash Camera w/ GPS Logger" is on its way. - wny_pat1ExplorerRead the reviews at TheWireCutter.co, Best Dash Cam. They will not steer you wrong!
- JagtechExplorerI just use my Android phone with one of the many Dash Cam apps available. Picked up an inexpensive windshield mount for it. Works just fine.
- _40FanExplorerI bought one right after purchasing my Arctic and on the way home had two idiots pull out in front of me.
I picked up a R310 from amazon and a 32 GB mini SD card for $94 shipped. GPS tracking and two cameras so you can one facing forward and backward, or just record one at a time. The software that gets loaded on the SD card allows you to watch on google maps where you are at while watching the footage as well as how fast you were going. It is only 480, but looks good.

Video I uploaded to youtube. - DakzukiExplorer IIBefore jumping in you want to search on the web for dashboard camera reviews. There are many out there that look the same but are quite different in terms of performance and quality. It's kind of the wild west. I've had one in my RV for 6 months now. This thread should likely me in the tech forum for a wider audience of tech minded people.

I am looking to purchase a dash camera for the RV does anyone know what kind to look for? I hate junk that doesn't work so I want a quality unit.
Thanks Bob
Here recommend a reliable supplier ( http://www.szswill.com ) if you have not purchased yet. I purchased one from their show booth last November and till now it works perfectly. The resolution of the one I get is VGA, it is recommended to choose a HD720P or HD1080P one if you have plenty budget..
