- RoyBExplorer III never did go for the real big RV's. That has got to be a hugh challange getting the big thing up to snuff, pay all the big maintenance fees, gasoline, and Insurance etc.. Then you have to fight the road driving the hugh thing.
My BIL has one and he is beat to death after 300-400 miles...
They used to go on several short trips and meet u with us at various places but now it looks like it is only for a couple of long stay trips for them. Then he parks it in the barn...
I always thought that something in the 24-26 foot range would be all we would ever mess with... This is more like camping in the outa way places from the days past I guess...

- Heavy_Metal_DocExplorerI understand changes in life can make one's feeling changes about any given thing / activity, but I'm surprised someone who had lost interest in RV's would still come here to post.....even more so for someone who has SOLD their RV and gotten completely away from it.
I have been frustrated with the "winter blues" a bit myself and lost interest in everything along the hobby / recreation lines while trying to just survive the cold / snow even though my small hobby stuff (R/C vehicles)can be worked on at a desk in the warm house. Seems like it is just something mentally draining about slogging through the cold from day to day just going to work and trying to stay warm ....But as soon as the temp starts staying back up in the 40's and higher I know I will be back "into it"....come on spring!! - Less_StuffExplorerSold our RV last year.
Took a nice cruise and spent some time in warm Florida this year.
No regrets.
We sure don't miss RV parks. Had forgotten how nice a good hotel can be. - kalynzooExplorerI'll make believe I write for Dear Abby: (I don't, obviously, but I am being sincere). Perhaps you should speak with your medical professional. Depression is a serious condition which is insidious in nature and may be related to medications you are taking for other conditions. Depression, and changes in the feeling of wellbeing may also be indicators of medical problems. OK, I'm being a bit of an alarmist, but if your post is a way of reaching out for comment, then I offer my comment. Please have a discussion with an impartial advisor, a medical profession, a spiritual advisor, or a trusted friend.
JMHO - goducks10ExplorerYou need to join a hotel/motel/BnB forum. Or there's the couch potato forum.

After spending all winter cooped up you still don't want to get out and RV? :?
Agree he needs help - The_TexanExplorerI am with you Tom, after being off the road for a year. That is the reason we are buying a lot in AZ and parking our RV there. We have found that cost wise, it is no longer cost effective to use the RV for short trips. The only advantage is having your own bed.
