Our cat has the microchip, our dog does not. He does however have a tag with our cell numbers on it. You should not have your home phone number on your pet's tag. If you are on vacation then there is a good chance that nobody will be home to answer the phone. Unless of course the person burglarizing your home is nice enough to answer the phone and take a message.
