"A lot of water" is very subjective.
I detest water just being 'flushed down the drain' as I grew up in Australia and survived severe water restrictions the entire time.
Because of my very frugal us of water, we almost had a concrete pyramid of **it in our RV toilet, but coming here save us.
Now we start a BM with the bowl about half full, then flush, fill the bowl and re-flush. Not a huge LOT of water, but it's enough to keep things fluid :)
