- down_homeExplorer IIOil hit 5300 and some change today. I look for it to stabilize at probably 46.00
Right now we should be seeing .80 gas and a dollar diesel?
They hae fuel in ships cruising around in circles, parked outside ports, tanks, on land are bulging and parked train cars are filled with oil. There is a glut and will be for many years. It is very good for the economy. It is very good for Farmers, Petro Chemiclas, Fertilizer, plastics etc. With the price diffenential they should be coming to us to buy but of course the Global Cabal manages it not for Americans. At a dollar a gallon, I can and will be traveling a lot more. I might even afford that high end coach. Food costs should come down already as well as other things but I think Corporations will keep the grravy until someone out competes them - Ramp_DiggerExplorerWhat brand biocide does everyone recomend? has anyone ever used PRI-diesel?

Algae will surely grow in a few months when diesel is stored in a dark sealed place. You will know it when your fuel filters start getting clogged up way before they are due to be changed.
I would use an additive to prevent algae growth.
As long as no water gets mixed in diesel will store much longer than that. Of course if the blender forgot to add a biocide all bets are off. I add biocide with each tank but bio diesel is involved. - Bob_VaughnExplorer

Diesel prices around me went below 3 bucks a gallon. If I put fuel in my auxiliary tank how soon should I use it before it goes stale???
Go ahead fill it up. Then what will you do when it drops to $260?
Should have filled up yesterday, today it was 3.09 to 3.29...... - Cummins12V98Explorer III

I don't think these prices are going to be around long... one knucklehead in the Middle East causing a ruckus or something related, and we will be back to $5/gallon diesel and $150/barrel oil prices. - VeebyesExplorer III regularly store for 6 months. The tank is left full to prevent condensation & it gets a shot of Biobor JF to prevent any chance of algae growth.
As noted farm & construction equipment is left for months, sometimes a year without any special preparation & they fire right up. I have a feeling diesel engines rated for heavy commercial use may be more tolerant of abuse than our diesels rated for recreational use. - RaftenExplorerI found 2.99 diesel in CA, wonders never cease.
- down_homeExplorer IIOklahoma City has several Retailers with Diesel the same price as regular gas.
1.68, 1.69 and so on. - dapperdanExplorerThere's a Mobil and a Citgo about 10 miles from our house selling diesel for $2.89 gal right now (Monday 12/22)!! Time to make a run out and top off the tanks.
