Do you have an outside shower? Make sure the faucets are closed. Leaving them open with the shower head turned off will result in cold water being transferred to your hot system.
You idea about the outside shower reminded me theres a switch/valve for winterizing. Just has a "on and off" position. I had it to off figuring im not winterizing. Just flipped it to "on" and I now have very hot water coming from the taps.
Though that switch/valve just stoped the antifreeze from going into the freshwater tank. Thanks for the hint...
