I went ahead and ordered the RM truckers road atlas. Also swallowed hard, bit my tongue and ordered the 400 dollar Garmin RV760. So I will have these two references, and will make a point to check my trip route before I leave.
Going next week to look at the fall colors in the Northeast, so am hoping all places I want to go aren't filled with low clearance bridges.
