made reservations

that's right made them and God willing we will get to use them. My DW has MS and she struggles daily, I just came home from spending 5 days in the hospital. I hope this is not going to be our last year in our TT. this old age is for the birds.

  • Old guy, don't give up. My wife has had MS for over 20 years and has reached the point she cannot walk, even with a cane. She can make it for a few feet with a rolling walker. We just got over a bout with breast cancer and were ready to sell out and find a place to stay. She told me a few days before Thanksgiving last year that she wants to do another trip west for a few months. The planning and discussing of this trip has invigorated me and refreshed my outlook as well as actually make her feel better and get a bit stronger. I know we will have to quit one of these days, but as long as she is wanting to get out on the road then I will do my best, with the help of the Lord, to make it happen.
  • @oldguy, I sure hope you enjoy the heck out of every minute at that campsite you reserved. And I hope you get there and back as well without incident. I hope your stint in the hospital fixed the problem (whatever it was) forever, and that your dear wife's MS give her a little peace, especially while you are camping. Keep the wheels down, old guy, and hope to meet you out in the woods somewhere having a ball.
  • At 68, I don't think that I'm really Old, just OLDER, there is one thing that I have learned & tell all the younger people, Don't wait to do things, Do it NOW. oldguy, good luck to you & your DW, hope you get to use those reservations and a lot more of them.

That's right it is for the birds.

Hope you have many more trips.
  • I believe it was Betty Davis who said "Getting old ain't for sissies!" One day at a time, that's all we can do and as we're living each of those days, we must remember to count the little blessings we experience. Wishing you and DW many happy travel/adventure days ahead!
  • Best of luck to you and I hope you have many more years of camping.

I also have MS. I can so relate. It can be a struggle, depending on what type of MS. Here's hoping that the two of you have more good seasons to come. Sending good thoughts and positive energy your way!
  • My dear departed mother often said:"Getting old is hard work."

Now that I am older I am finding out she was right!
  • MIL tells me to never get old. Beats the alternative I suppose. Here's hoping you get to use these reservations and more to come.
