Mail Forwarding - Short Term

We will be traveling for two months this year. We are FMCA members but they have stopped their mail forwarding service. The other services I see are for full-timers. Does anyone know of a short-term mail forwarding service other than neighbors?
  • Post office has a premium forwarding service now.
    https://www.usps.com/manage/forward.htm
For a weekly fee, we’ll hold your mail, package it, and ship it to you each week by Priority Mail® service. Premium Forwarding Service Residential® (PFS-Residential®) is a temporary service that can be used from 2 weeks up to 1 year. Unfortunately, PFS-Residential Online option is not currently available for PO Box™ addresses.
    How it Works

Enroll. There is a fee of $18.00 retail or $16.50 if you enroll online.
Pay $18.00 for each week of service.
Most mail is packaged every Wednesday and sent to you via Priority Mail® service. Your package should arrive in 1, 2, or 3 business days depending on distance.
Priority Mail Express® items are rerouted directly to you.
Priority Mail items are shipped to you immediately or included in your weekly package, whichever is faster.
First-Class Mail® items that don't fit in the weekly package are sent separately at no extra cost.
  • MyRVMail would work for you whether you're staying in one place or going all over. They will hold your mail and you can see on line who has sent you what (i.e. your bank has sent you a letter or your FMCA magazine has arrived).

If there's something important, they can scan it for you (for a fee) and you can read it on line. When you know where you're going to be, you can have your mail sent to you c/o general delivery at a post office or at your campground.

    Goodsam members get a discount.

I know people want direct answers to direct questions, but tell us why.. why do you need mail forwarding for that short a time?

Snowbirds that move around would be one group that may want short term on demand forwarding. Folks doing multi-month trips might be another.
  • Sorry for the non-direct answer, but, it doesn't make sense if you're travelling for a couple months. Now, if you're going somewhere to sit, fine, but it'll make things really complicated when on the road.

MyRVmail offers service intervals of 3, 6, and 12 months.
  • We pay bills on line and don't care if we get mail or not. The post office will keep mail for two months, we just fill out two 30 day cards, or three. Doing this for several years and never had anything important waiting for us when we return.

I think the post office will forward your mail if you know where you will be but when we leave home we never know where we will be.
