Since I've been tracking and paying most of my bills online for the last decade or so about the only stuff that hits my mailbox is ...well junk.
Around the December holidays I get some personal mail although even that is only from the diehard traditionalists.
A few years back a post office used to route my mail to business clients closed for renovations with no notice. I had a PO box there and had a heck of a time getting my mail picked up so I closed the box and used a private service instead. Eventually closed that service down too and switched to emailing bills and placing printed monthly statements under doors. That method was less expensive than using any snail mail service and more reliable.
It's a new century and unfortunately post offices around the world are lagging.
I only depend on the post office for legally required certified and registered mail and goodness knows that is now slower than molasses.
The gutting of the post office's infrastructure started in the ........early '80's(?) and we now live with it's legacy:(.
