I am pretty sure you have already made your mind up to switch, cost of this hobby is nothing that could be put into dollars and cents. One guy buys a diesel drives it for 100000 and doesn't put a dime into it. Another guy buys one and the first thing that goes in the first 50 miles is the blower. So money is nothing to look at. What I am curious about is what do you do when you drive a class C and want to go see the sights? Parking one of those Cs is not an easy task. I know I owned one for years and years. I hated the idea of going and see anything because it was such a pain to park. Some folks don't mind that.. That's great I did, that's why I switched. Oh I could have pulled a toad I guess but that was more trouble than I wanted to go through as well. So it's not the cost it's what part of the hobby you enjoy and what part do you consider a pain in the butt..
