Well in my case, I will be trading a Chevy 3500 HD diesel truck for a little Sonic Hatchback. Less cost to drive the Sonic I am sure, plus I do have to have a second vehicle, regardless if I get a motorhome or not. We just prefer being a 2 car family, even if we are both retired.
I just wanted to be sure owning a motorhome, wasn't going to cost that much more than owning a 5th wheel trailer. I have read some very negative comments on the web about motorhomes being "money pits", which I am sure they can be if you get a lemon. Plus I know it will probably cost a little more, with insurance and extra tires, but I am aware of that, I just wanted to be sure there were no surprises I hadn't thought of.
Folks here have made this transition, so I was seeking information from their experiences.
