manufactured hardwood floors (like pergo)

Hi all,
Any ideas what can be used to touch up scrapes and scratches on this type of simulated hardwood? Since it's some sort of plastic, stain doesn't work. Use some sort of paint, maybe acrylic?
  • For surface scratches, try an appropriate color Sharpie magic marker.
    Brown, light brown, red, etc.

Thanks for the great suggestion. The putty comes in a kit and you can mix for your specific color. Went to Lowes and picked it up $19.95. The crayons, stains etc don't stay on because the floor material is some sort of plastic (I think)
  • There are also crayons that match many wood colors; just rub the crayon into the scratch.

  • go to the flooring dept. at lowes/home depot and ask them. not paint.
