It's not so much which country, but the idea of how it works. There is always a King of Bunker Hill, and there is always somebody waiting in the wings trying to knock the king off the hill. (Childhood Game).
A quality replacement will come forward, the question is "how long will it take?". I think current manufacturers do "get it". They get that we will buy their product even though they skimp on quality materials, workmanship and quality assurance. Once that tide turns they'll address it. Until that tide turns they will stay status quo and rake in the profits the industry brings them.
Whenever a "non-RVer" drives down the road and sees an RVer, especially an RV with visual coolness (pretty graphics?), that non-RVer may fall victim to the marketing ploy of the "coolness" and attempt to get into one themselves. The American dream! But they demand the "less" weight, so they don't have to buy a new RV AND a tow vehicle, and can afford to travel occasionally. Manufacturers are responding to demand, and for now at least, there is less demand for quality, and more demand for "lighter weight", more "home type stuff" and lots of "look at me" prettiness.
I'm sure there are "quality" manufacturers. The problem for us is separating chaff from the wheat. Because the chaff tells us at every turn it is wheat.
