Manufacturers - How Do You Answer This
This is one aspect of why I am leery of an aluminum framed camper, not to mention a newer, expensive camper. Of course the extremely poor quality craftsmanship could be duplicated in a wood-framed cam...

come on, let us know now what the responses are. why wait? unless people here have been right in their predictions. no need to take the fifth. is there any chance that their initial responses have been sorry, we are looking into this, will be back in touch?

Bumpy - the reason I'm waiting is this...
Many times somebody will "handle" a situation, just to think on it a little longer, come up with a revised or improved answer, send it on up the line, discuss it in a staff meeting and realize it's a different issue or of different importance than they first thought.
This is a touchy subject and there are many varieties of issues (as we are seeing from so many replies in this forum) as well as potential answers. I'll let the stuff come in, do my own thinking on it, summarize, and then publish in a way that is as fair as possible to both the consumer and the manufacturer.
