Max length for Cracker Barrels?

stopped at a few CBs and had to bypass many. We took our 32 ft fifth wheel and diesel into one and had to wait on some in cars to leave to get out. Have to find ones where we can park at the end of lots or someone else's parking lot. The RV spaces will just about accomodate a tour bus but not an RV and towd. We aren't near as long as many of you either.

55' LOA here. Done a few CBs. Tight lengthwise. Even tighter with the slides. The real problem is lazy people with cars who use RV spaces because they might happen to be closer to the door or people with trailers (non RV) who could fit into regular carpark spots by taking up 2 spots.

Most Cracker Barrels we've been too had RV parking but we could not get a 38' in there with toad. My best guess is they are about the size of 2 car spaces end to end...maybe say...40' so won't accommadate a rig towing.

Any time we stopped there we parked in an adjacent area not within their lot.

I'd call their headquarters or a restaurant and actually ask them what size rig will fit. We talked to a manager at one and they were all onboard with having RVers in the lot but were totally at a loss as to what size would actually fit. Let's face it most of them don't have the space to give up several 60' long RV spaces. Another problem you'll find...cars will take up those RV spaces in a heart beat so they are not open for use.

We don't even pull into a Cracker Barrel parking lot...too tight with toad connected.

I like Cracker Barrel too and if I want to park my aircraft carrier there I'm going to find a space!! Safe travels.

Our experience as well, we are 60' long and don't even bother with the RV spots - occasionally I'll angle across two of them if they are all empty - usually we just park around the perimeter. Have visited them all across the country, have only hit a couple that were tight. We do try to avoid the ones in urban areas since they are usually in congested spots. Ones on the outskirts or small towns are better. Main thing is to hit them in off hours and forget about Sundays.

CB is our most frequent spot for meals on the road. Been to ones from the midwest to the northeast, southeast and the westernmost one in Yuma, AZ.

Used to overnight there frequently when we were working and pressed for time, usually arriving after closing time. Still do it occasionally when there is no handy RV park and we are driving later into the evening.

I have been in a few that could easily handle a semi and then thee was the one near Fredrick Maryland where I had to get permission to park lengthwise against the back of the building. There was no way I would fit in the RV spots without blocking the whole parking lot.

We have seen some in shopping districts that we could not make the turns if any cars were parked. Thankfully we stopped at a quiet time and were able to get back out. We will now check google maps to see before we plan on stopping at one.

Thanks for all the replies. This seems to be more and more of what we are doing. We look for restaurants adjacent to large commercial lots - we park deep in the lot perpendicular to the drawn lines. Wish it were a little easier to find (less time wasted searching), but we usually find something.

That is all I have ever seen at a Cracker Barrel. Have never seen a 55' spot or even a 40' spot that was easy to get into, or not occupied by several 4 wheelers.
