My parents started taking the family on camping vacations in the fifties. Partly to save money, but also because they loved the outdoors. I remember the first tent we had that came with a floor. It was my job to dig a little ditch to insure rainwater went around rather than through the tent.
My wife and I tentedinto our sixties, when we finally bought our TT. These old bones greatly appreciate having a real bed. But though nobody will ever call our 21 foot, $12,000 brand new TT "glamping," it suits us fine. Even if I could afford it, I'm not interested in one of those million dollar gold plated rigs. There are places we can go that those rigs won't fit.
But I am perfectly fine with whatever YOU want in an RV. It's your life, live it as you please.
