We started out tent camping when we were younger. My in-laws got to old to pull their 23 ft 5th wheel. We bought it from them. That was in 2003. We really enjoyed it, but we decided we wanted a class C. We had read about people stepping up in the size of their motor homes. Buying one a few feet bigger and then selling it and buying another even bigger. We went ahead and bit the bullet and got a new 31 ft with a super slide.
It has been a great motor home. We have gone from San Diego to Yellowstone and countless desert and river trips.
Now that we are full timers I consider this a great weekender motor home. They layout isn't very good for full timing. So, we are looking at a new class A with multiple slides and as my wife said "more dresser drawers".
Now as far camping goes we have noticed that a lot of full timers spend more time in the motor home than "weekenders" do. We still like to spend most of our time outdoors, but we have noticed that we spend more time indoors than we use to. Mostly once it gets dark we go in. I guess being able to enjoy a camp fire everyday makes it less special. We still enjoy camp fires but not every night.
As far a McRv's to me you need to really know how you will use it. Full time or weekends?
