There are "campers" and there are "RV'ers". Very different life styles...
In my childhood days made many of tent camping trips in the late 50's...
I started doing all of the big time camping in AZ in the late 60's and early 70's... This was associated with following the JEEP outdoor crowd... We would all be pulling a utility trailer with all of our camping stowed in it...
I didn't get my OFF-ROAD POPUP trailer until 2008 and thought about going up to a better road trailer but never did get into liking any of the so called RV TRAVELING... What we have is just a nice up off the ground setup with just a few of home comfort items...
My real fun is going within a couple of hundred miles of our home and continue doing the RV CAMPING... We will stay out for a couple of weeks somewhere close by... We also like getting back off the beaten path alot. Our big morning is waking up creekside somewhere way back off road and drinking our morning coffee watching the fish jump in the creek... Doesn't get any better than that for us...
We sometimes travel as far away as Gatlinburg Smoky Mtns area from here in Northern Neck Virginia...
Have been around of alot of RV TRAVELERs and got to know what all of the expenses are keeping those big homes on wheels going... If you can afford it and have fun too - why not haha...
Like everyone has said it is what you want to do - Thats all that counts...
