You must receive all routine care from in-network plan providers; except for emergent or urgent care situations or for out-of-area renal dialysis. If you obtain routine care from out-of-network providers neither Medicare nor SCAN will be responsible for the costs"
SCAN is a Medicare Advantage Plan which usually restricts coverage to geographic areas. I would consider regular Medicare and a supplement. I have used regular Medicare all over the country with no problems. If you think you need a supplemental policy to cover what Medicare doesn't pay, I would go with a national Medicare supplement like Blue Cross Blue Shield.
