- TheBreuExplorerHeading south for us. Most everyone in the state of MI heads north, we will be heading to the Cleveland/Streetsboro KOA and doing some hiking in the Cuyahoga Valley National Park. Hoping to scoot out of work a bit early too, but highly unlikely.
- tpiExplorerRetiree here- it is mutually beneficial to stay home Memorial weekend. For me and those who enjoy travel at that time.
- Opie431ExplorerFort Custer SRA near Augusta, MI. Only once has there been someone who is loud over a holiday weekend and they were told to be quiet. There are quiet hours at night but the rest of the time is loudness is not allowed
Six day weekend over the forth at Fort Custer SRA near Augusta, MI. Quiet time at night but that does not mean that the rest of the time is loud. - travelnutzExplorer IIWe stay home on the 3 summer holidays with all our family relation so other who work can have the CG sites because we can go anytime. Besides, holiday weekends has thousands upon thousands of people coming here always as it's the place to be! All the CG's are packed and the other accommodations too and even so many more daily visitors because there's so much to do and going on around here and easy on the wallet or free and the area is so popular. Many come back over and over all summer or even stay all summer too. Get to meet so many great RV'ers and others too and have become very good friends. We like good people!

- Itching2goExplorer IIBrown County State Park in Southern Indiana. Being retired, we typically avoid camping over the three summer holidays unless we find ourselves in the middle of a road trip. But this time, we'll be group camping with a number of others in the family who aren't similarly blessed. As for the crowds, I kind of enjoy the busyness of a campground filled with kids for a change. Reminds us of camping when ours were that young.
- mike102ExplorerWere heading out on Thursday and coming back on Monday and were staying at Long Beach RV & Camping Resort going to hit up the yard sales...:)
- DixiecamperExplorerWe are mulling over the prospect of camping at Sardis Lake (Mississippi) not far from our house. There is a COE first-come, first-serve campground there and we may go the Wed. before and try and get a shady spot. The state park campground that takes reservations and is next to the COE has been booked for a while. Wouldn't normally go on such a busy weekend, but will be starting a new job soon and this may be my last chance for an extended weekend camping trip.

I am not one to stir the pot, but I think the question was where are you going, not who is staying home. LOL
You are correct, so how is this? I will be going to Camp Backyard RV Resort. :B
Campgrounds are crowded enough on regular weekends without having all the amateurs out on the holiday weekends. Drunks, noise, crowding, chaos, no thanks. - malexanderExplorerWe're going to Branson, MO. for 4 days.
